This full grow kit includes everything needed (except for spores) to cultivate your own medicinal or gourmet mushrooms right at home. Perfect for beginners or experienced growers looking to experiment or produce a nice batch for personal use.
The mushroom life cycle will take place within the included re-usable heavy plastic grow tray. The chamber consists of (6) 2" holes drilled around the top of the chamber which are covered with micropore tape on the interior and duct tape on the exterior. Once your tray is fully colonized and it is ready for FAE, the duct tape can simply be removed and breathable micropore tape will be in place; to further prevent potential contaminants from entering the chamber and also allowing the chamber to breathe.
Behind the duct tape we place a non-sticky paper separator so that the duct tape does not stick to the Micropore tape upon removal. There are also 1/4" holes drilled around the mid to lower portion of the chamber (6 holes on each side) that are covered with synthetic filter disks. Beyond the first grow, the filter discs can be replaced with Micropore tape and will have the same effect.

Customers may choose their preferred type of grain substrate; Rye Berries, Wheat Berries, Millet, or Wild Bird Seed. Grain jars may be inoculated with spores or liquid culture. Inoculating your substrate jars with liquid culture (up to 40mL) will noticeably speed up the process. Our grow kit also includes a 2.5-lb. bag of sterilized CVG (Coir, Vermiculite, Gypsum) bulk/fruiting substrate.
The heating pad and thermostat are optional but useful tools that help keep temperature stable and consistent in your chamber while removing the need for constant monitoring. Ideally you should have your chamber setup in an area where the temperature is between 70°F and 74°F. If this is not possible you may want to consider a thermostat for peace of mind.

We place orders with express shipping on priority fulfillment and do everything possible to ship them as soon as possible, usually with same day service. UPS express shipping options do not provide Saturday delivery, so orders placed for Next Day or 2nd Day service on Thursday or Friday may not make delivery until the following Monday. Orders with subtotals of over $200 will be shipped with signature required.
